How to make homemade DONUTS

What’s more fun than donuts? Baking them with kids of course!

2 mini bakers in the house!

Thanks J&A for having such fun and adorable children 🙂

**When baking with children**

-prepare all your ingredients first

-memorize your recipe so that you can give clear instructions to the kiddos

-keep the recipe simple with not too many ingredients

– tell them what you need them to do first before starting

And you’re ready to go!

I bought this donut maker 2 years ago and it makes cute little mini donuts about the size of 2 . 5 cm. Tried using different cake recipes and it has worked so far.

First BnD video, I had fun and hope you will have fun watching it. I’ll try to improve on my camera and video editing skills.

For this donuts, I used a basic pound cake recipe. If you don’t have a donut maker, just make them into cupcakes- bake them at 180-190degC for about 15-18mins!

Ingredients (Basic cake recipe)

250g Butter

150g Sugar ( reduced, original recipe was 250g)

4 Eggs

1tsp Vanilla Essence

250g Self-raising Flour

2Tbsp Water

  1. Sift the flour
  2. Beat butter and sugar till light and fluffy
  3. Add in eggs one at a time, add in vanilla essence
  4. Add in sifted four and continue to beat till incorporated
  5. Pre-heat donut maker
  6. Fill each donut mould with 1 tsp of batter and cook for aprox 3 mins

For this recipe, I just whipped up some whipping cream (200ml) till soft peaks and added strawberry jam to taste.

Pipe on to the donuts and top it off with fresh strawberries.

And that’s how to make homemade donuts
